This high-performance building is designed with a focus on sustainability, aiming to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating. The University's commitment to carbon reduction extends beyond new constructions, with substantial investments in refurbishing existing buildings. The approach involves implementing energy-saving technologies, such as occupancy sensors for automated switching-off of heating, cooling, and lighting, as well as incorporating variable speed drives and LED retrofits for improved efficiency.
