Specializing in premium commercial real estate in New Zealand’s major cities, Precinct Properties knows what makes an office space work. A thoughtful interior fitout makes their latest development in Auckland both welcoming and practical. Tactile finishes include warm ruched leather seats, exposed concrete on the walls and ceiling, tassellated terracotta tiles and lush biophilic elements.
Blanketing the space with a wash of monotone illumination would have destroyed the result, so Precinct collaborated with Warren and Mahoney and NDY to deliver a solution with a high level of contrast and visual interest. ERCO Iku downlights line the transition spaces with Iku Work in meeting rooms, while ERCO Optec spotlights for track use a mix of flood and spot optics to define places of focus. Color temperature is factored in too, with 3000K warm white in reception and communal spaces, transitioning through 3500K for movement, to 4000K on workstations. This subtle change marks a clear distinction in the mood and plays an important role in how people respond and function.
