The way to Karlshamn in southern Sweden leads through a special kind of town gate: an impressive mountain range with a tunnel embedded in a rock face welcome visitors. At night the landmark assumes a new shape thanks to light from ERCO.
The illumination of the 492ft (150m) wide and 65ft (20m) high rock section was adapted to the morphology – the shape and structure – of the mountain.
The different forms and natural color gradients are highlighted, with the backdrop taking on a magical appearance.
The lighting concept was implemented with Tesis ground-recessed luminaires and Gecko projectors from ERCO.
The luminaires with DALI control create warm, glare-free light with 3000K.
