History comes alive through light: for almost 400 years, the Swedish royal armory has been collecting armor, weapons and clothing with historical references. It is considered to be the oldest museum in Sweden. The special children's exhibition "Lilla Rustkammaren" and a room for temporary exhibitions have recently been redesigned – and illuminated with Eclipse spotlights.
The vaults below the Royal Palace in Stockholm form a highly atmospheric setting but impose strict limits on technical interventions: "When positioning the track and spotlights for exhibition lighting, we have to take into account the low vaulted ceilings," states Pernilla Tenje, exhibition designer and production manager at the State Historical Museums (SHM).
Eclipse in size S with various light distributions was specified for the project.
The lens optic with only one light point results in the unusually precise and attractive shadowing, which displays the room and exhibits with a special clarity.
