The Punchbowl Mosque was built as the new headquarters of the Australian Islamic Mission in the Sydney suburb of Punchbowl. The mosque invites members of the local community for prayer and learning. The building consists of a large central dome along with 102 smaller concrete domes decorated with Islamic calligraphy. These symbolize the 99 names of Allah.
