For an education facility to win an architectural award is exceptional—the sector is often constrained by budget. Yet Cashmere High School in New Zealand invested in clever design for its new Performing Arts Center, and the result is reaping rewards. ERCO’s contribution came in the form of lighting verticals to help the building glow at night, and economic lens choices to optimise the functionality of study, performance and transition spaces.
