The Evedal swimming facility in the northern part of Växjö is not only a popular spot for swimmers but also a prime example of how modern lighting technology can enhance the natural environment. Thanks to the new lighting system, the wide range of leisure activities is beautifully showcased even during evening hours. From the expansive sandy beach to the diving platforms, playgrounds and barbecue areas, the lighting creates a safe and welcoming atmosphere for visitors throughout the entire area. A key focus of the project was the use of energy-efficient LED lighting to minimise energy consumption and protect the environment.
M-size Beamer projectors with various light distributions were employed to illuminate the diving platforms and the walkway. These projectors not only offer a constant colour temperature of 3000K, but also the innovative tunable white technology. This allows for flexible adjustment of the colour temperature based on the time of day and specific requirements, resulting in dynamic and atmospheric lighting that meets both functional and aesthetic demands while ensuring precise illumination of the diving platforms and walkway.
For the jetty at Evedal, Tesis recessed floor lights were used. With a colour temperature of 3000K, these lights produce a warm white glow, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. At the same time, they provide ample brightness to guide guests safely during the evening hours. This creates a safe and inviting environment that provides visitors with a comfortable and atmospheric experience.
The Casambi system controls the lighting at the Evedal swimming facility, offering high flexibility in adjusting light intensity and colour. Different lighting scenarios can be set up for various applications to meet the specific needs of visitors. The lighting can be conveniently controlled and dimmed using a smartphone or tablet via Casambi Bluetooth, ensuring efficient and user-friendly operation. This advanced control system plays a crucial role in transforming the swimming facility into a safe and inviting environment, even after sunset.
