Frank Lloyd Wright in the London showroom, London, Great Britain

Frank Lloyd Wright in the London showroom

ERCO rolled out the red carpet in London for the special screening of the documentary film "Frank Lloyd Wright: The Man Who Built America". The ERCO showroom on Dover Street was transformed into a cinema hall and created a genuine cinema-style ambience with appropriate armchairs and popcorn. This was the perfect opportunity for cinematographers with an itch for architecture to learn more about the Welsh roots of presumably the most famous American architect.

Whilst many think of buildings like Fallingwater or the Guggenheim Museum in New York when they hear the name Frank Lloyd Wright, his Welsh origins are more or less unknown. It is precisely this perspective that the Welsh architect Jonathan Adams selected for his impressive documentary produced by the BBC. Even 150 years after his birth, Frank Lloyd Wright remains an important architect for Adams, a man who teaches us how to treat the landscape and the individual needs of people with respect. This special adaptation to the environment is also one of ERCO's strengths, as emphasised Chris Tiernan, Managing Director of ERCO in Great Britain and Ireland, during his introductory address. During the evening itself this could be ideally witnessed in the refined details of the cinema event.
