The Punchbowl Mosque was built as the new headquarters of the Australian Islamic Mission in the Sydney suburb of Punchbowl. The mosque invites members of the local community for prayer and learning. Light from ERCO illuminates the imposing building, impressively displays the dome and at the same time provides a high level of visual comfort for a good quality of stay.
The building consists of a large central dome along with 102 smaller concrete domes decorated with Islamic calligraphy. These symbolise the 99 names of Allah.
Optec spotlights illuminate vertical surfaces and the wooden surface in the dome with precise beams of light.
High colour rendering and a 3000K colour temperature strongly emphasise the colouring of the golden calligraphy and ceiling ornaments.
