Lead design architect Henning Larsen combined the highly flexible, acoustically sophisticated auditorium with bright, generous social spaces – making it a ‘living room’ for the campus community and world-class venue for Hong Kong. The Auditiorium stands on the hillside in the south of Hong Kong UST's Clear Water Bay campus. The venue can be adapted to accommodate a wide range of events, from live orchestras, concerts, gala dinners, talks and exhibitions. It is situated right between the academic faculties and neighboring community.
In addition to the sophisticated architectural lighting design for different spaces in terms of illumination and glare levels, the auditorium is also well equipped with smart occupancy and daylight sensors as part of the overall control solutions for the interior lighting.
The raked seating can be configured to fit 840 or 1,300 seats, or stored to enable an open surface for conferences and exhibitions.
