Very pragmatic considerations often lead to the use of ERCO surface-mounted luminaires – for example when the space required for recessing conventional downlights or spotlights is not available in the ceiling. The decision in favour of a lighting concept with surface-mounted downlights considerably reduces the installation complexity, for example in the case of solid ceilings or in existing buildings. Special surface-mounted luminaires with large lumen packages are suitable for general lighting of very high rooms.
